Tile Floor Shoe Molding

Shoe molding is needed in situations when the subfloor slab is uneven.

I found that many places in the world i ve traveled rely on good workmanship rather than covering ragged edges with. Use regular twist drills for this but get a bunch of them so you can waste them. Drill downwards at a 45 degree angle. Using shoe mold allows you to caulk between the tile and the baseboard without the caulking showing and covers up any slight imperfections and unevenness between the flooring and the boaseboards.

The undulations in the floor s surface will cause gaps to appear between the baseboard and the flooring material. Shoe molding conforms to the floor s surface and hides those gaps. This installation features both inside and outside miters to join pieces of moldings at the corners. Then shim the threshold. Get regular wood shoe molding preferably pre primed. They can easily be bent into place during installation. Don t worry about buying perfectly straight pieces. As long as the shoe mold matches the baseboards not the flooring it looks more finished.
